Material tiers¶

Avoid: strong reflections

Lighting roles¶

Lighting is semantic. Every light source communicates information rather than decoration.

Position: Behind or within
Meaning: Identity and source
Typical use: Logo, identity nodes, ownership and primary brand objects

Verification

Cyan

Position: Edge or directional path
Meaning: Verification and active evidence
Typical use: Active graph edges, focus rings and proof validation

Clarity

White

Position: Above
Meaning: Inspection and clarity
Typical use: Product renders, screenshots and documentation

Continuity

Violet ambient

Position: Background volume
Meaning: Continuity and spatial depth
Typical use: Hero backgrounds and section atmosphere

Attention

Yellow signal

Position: Small indicator
Meaning: Review required
Typical use: Notifications, pending verification and warnings

Glass constraints¶

Do

Preserve readability through every refraction.
Give glass objects a defined edge and dark core.
Align highlights with the logo geometry.
Use glass for one dominant object per viewport.

Do not

Place long text over glass.
Use glass for routine cards or controls.
Add uncontrolled bloom or excessive transparency.
Allow the effect to obscure evidence or status.

Surface system¶

Geometry of Trust uses a deliberately shallow surface system.

Surface states¶

State is expressed through light, borders and indicators rather than additional surface layers.

Neutral ceramic

Standard content without active semantic meaning.

Identity current

Magenta indicates identity, source or ownership.

Verification current

Cyan indicates validated evidence or an active proof path.

Review

Attention required

Yellow indicates a non-destructive state requiring review.

Surface differences should remain subtle. Semantic state must be communicated through indicators, edge light, labels and borders rather than through visibly different dark fills.
